What Is a Leaf Valiant Card?

Leaf Valiant is Leaf Trading Cards' recurring, all-autograph release, named for the large "V"graphic that dominates its base autograph design. It doesn't ship on an annual schedule the way a flagship set does — Valiant has resurfaced periodically since at least 2011, with football and baseball editions in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, plus a "Valiant Autographs" insert set folded into 2023 Leaf Eclectic. Every card in the checklist is a signature; there's no unsigned base set to chase.

• All-autograph checklist.Like most modern Leaf products, every card is a signed card — there's no base/insert split to work through, just the main Valiant Autograph set and its parallels.
• The large V design.The signature look is a bold "V" graphic filling most of the card face, with the autograph running across it — the design element the product is named for.
• Signing method has varied by year.Earlier Valiant releases (2017–2018) leaned on hard-signed, on-card autographs, with some years guaranteeing a BGS-graded auto per box. • Valiant vs. Leaf Trinity. Leaf Trinity adds a triple-swatch memorabilia relic alongside its autographs and sits at a premium, low-print tier. Valiant is a more accessible, higher-print-run release with no relic component.
• Valiant vs. Leaf Ultimate. Leaf Ultimate spreads its checklist across multiple sports in one release and centers on multi-signed combo cards. Valiant is typically issued as separate single-sport editions (football, baseball) rather than one cross-sport product.

• Confirm the release year.Valiant isn't a single fixed product — signing method (on-card vs. sticker), print runs, and box configuration all differ by year, so a 2018 Valiant auto and a 2022 Valiant auto aren't directly comparable.
